Hello world !

Hey everyone, welcome to this new space where I’ll be sharing my knowledge and experiences with Linux admin, virtualization, and open-source services.

My goal is to show you the challenges I face and provide practical, functional solutions to the issues you might encounter in your work or projects.

Why start this blog now?

Basically, I realized I’ve collected a ton of tips and solutions to problems I run into all the time at work, and I wanted to share them with the community. I also figured out that, even with all these years of experience, there’s still a lot I don’t know, and Google (or DuckDuckGo) doesn’t always have the answer. So why not contribute to open source by sharing my findings?

Topics covered on the blog

On this blog, you’ll find articles about Linux admin, virtualization, using open-source services like Proxmox, Nginx, Squid, Docker, MariaDB, HAProxy, etc. I’ll share my tips and experiences, along with case studies to illustrate my points.

The nav might be a bit messy at first, due to lack of content and because I haven’t really thought about it yet. But don’t worry, time will help me clean it up. And I’d love to hear your feedback to make my content more accessible.

“Baguette” 🥖 and “rendez-vous” 🇫🇷 ?

I’m french ( 🐸 / 🐌 but also 🥐, 🍷 and 🧀 …. ), but I use my computer and servers in English, partly because we use a ton of anglicisms even in French. Plus, error messages are better documented in English online.

So, I’ll try to provide content in both English and French. If you stumble upon one of my French pages linked below StackOverflow and don’t feel like dealing with it, you can usually find the English version without using Google Translate. It should be better than Google’s translation, but, to be honest, Mistral AI do the job.

Don’t hesitate to follow me on LinkedIn to stay updated on new articles, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.

See you on the blog!
